                                       Pastor's Lunch

                                         September 10, 2002

A luncheon was held the day of the SCC Businessmen’s Prayer Breakfast for pastors from a number of St. Charles County Churches. Our breakfast speaker, Don Mitchell spoke to the pastors and thanked them for their service to the Lord. He expressed the difficulty the local church has in continuing to maintain a close relationship with non Christians in order to be available to help them in their search for meaning in life. Several pastors shared how they have developed friends outside of their church community, some were neighbors, others were business people they met in the community and how these friendships have been a platform for sharing Christ with these friends

Steve Collier shared a power point presentation for the pastors about our upcoming Men’s Conference. The presentation explained the planning for the pre-conference training, the conference itself, and the post conference group studies. He also shared the importance of the networking we've developed with the churches in communicating the different events with close to 50 churches we are currently working with.

Steve, and his team, work with 10 – 12 church coordinators. Each of these men work with four or more churches. All of these men have been selected by their pastors to represent their churches.

We concluded our time together by praying for each other and for all the churches in St. Charles County.
