This is an opportunity for us as a ministry to honor our area coaches for
the outstanding work they do with our young people. A "Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year Award" will be
presented.
All SCC coaches and Activities Directors, with a reservation, will be the guest of Ministry to Men.
There were 65 men in attendance
to hear a message about how each man present can be a positive influence on others.

Wayne Hagin
The 2006
season marks Wayne Hagin's 24th year of broadcasting Major League baseball. Wayne was an original at ESPN and was mike-side for the network's first ever baseball telecasts. Wayne
began his major league broadcasting career with Billy Martin and the Oakland A's, spent ten years with the Colorado
Rockies where he was the original and lead announcer since the franchise began in 1993, and joined the Cardinals organization in
November 2002.
Wayne was named the 2000 Colorado Sportscaster of the Year
by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association and in 1998 was voted by the Rockies players as Players Choice Denver Media Man of the Year.
Since
Wayne arrived
in St. Louis, he
has been able to pursue his passion of motivating, inspiring and ultimately impacting the future of today's youth. Through
various speaking engagements and customized programs, he has addressed students in 107 elementary, junior high and
senior high schools, and colleges. Wayne has delivered
the keynote address at the annual father-student banquets for private secondary school leaders: Chaminade,
DeSmet and Whitfield School.
Additionally, Wayne has served as the keynote speaker
for major educational events including Southwest Missouri
State University's & Drury
University's annual Greek Day program, Washington
University's Olin School of Business 2004-2005 MBA orientation, the 2005 Missouri
Council on Economic Education Literacy Conference and the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Students of
Achievement luncheon.
