VISION NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS

Ministry to Men's Vision Nights are all about God's involvement in the lives of men which is what Ministry to Men is all about. On May 29, 2009 the theme of this year's Vision Night was all about relationships. The relationship of God and men and of the impact men have on each other.

Charlie Williams, Ron Hollis and Ben Blanton shared the impact other men have had in their own lives. Ministry to Men offers twenty bible studies throughout the area for men to experience these types of relationships. Often men don't have an opportunity to experience deep friendships or have a place to go to share their deepest cares and concerns. Many men have found such a place at one of the bible studies. A place to go where they can be real as they grapple with the issues of life and how God fits into all of that; where they can grow together in their individual walk with God. Jesus Christ is the center and although denominations and backgrounds may differ Jesus is the central focus.

Rich, Bill, Bob and Todd have all gone home to be with the Lord but their lives continue to have an impact on those who knew them and also to those who continue to come to the bible studies and experience some of the relationships that were evident in their lives.

Nettie Weber and Pam Dobbin's, along with family members, were present and given a plaque in honor of their husband.

	Rich Sundermeyer had a dream and a vision in the 80's to have a men's ministry in St. Charles County. Rich and Charlie came to St. Charles to find some men who would want to meet and begin praying together and that was the beginning of Ministry to Men and now twenty bible studies.			Ron Hollis shared how one man invited him to attend the first bible study and the lasting impact that has had on his life.
	Bill Weber was instrumental along with others in starting the St. Charles County Businessmen's Prayer Breakfast. The Breakfast is the largest Prayer Breakfast in St. Charles County.			Ben Blanton shared how being asked to meet with Bill to do a bible study changed his life. How he and Bill became best of friends, how their love for each other deepened and enriched both their lives along with their families.
	Bob Dobbins was recognized for his deep faithfulness to His God and his family, his prayer life and deep concern for men in the bible study he attended and all the people God brought into his life.			Todd Janes came into Charlie Williams life and Ministry to Men just a few years ago but had a great impact on the ministry. His giftedness in audio visual and media was huge and he generously used those gifts to benefit the ministry.
	Charlie Williams shared the influence these four men had on his own life as well as with Ministry to Men.
